Adam Straus

BIO

Adam Straus is a Marine veteran with an MFA from Rutgers-Camden. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Iowa Review, The Missouri Review, The Hopkins Review, HAD, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Best Small Fictions 2024, and elsewhere. In 2022, Adam was named a runner-up for The Iowa Review’s Jeff Sharlet Memorial Award and he won the Proud to Be Anthology Fiction Award. He's also been longlisted for LitMag’s Virginia Woolf Award for Short Fiction and the Dzanc Books Short Story Collection Prize, nominated for the the Best of the Net Anthology and the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize, and named a finalist for the New American Fiction Award. Adam has enjoyed the support of a Tennessee Williams Scholarship in Fiction at Sewanee, a Celia Baker Veteran Scholarship at Longleaf, and a Paul Radin Veteran Scholarship from the Community of Writers Summer Workshop.
